For safety, Mareo only plays through wired or Bluetooth headphones. Connect your headphones, then turn on “I'm wearing both earbuds or headphones” on the setup screen. The iPhone speaker, AirPlay, and car audio aren't supported.

Mareo plays only while it's open. Locking the screen, switching apps, opening Control Center, a call or alarm, or a change in audio output stops the sound on purpose. It never restarts by itself, so tap Back to setup when you're ready.

Low and comfortable. Set your volume before you start, and stop if the sound causes discomfort, ringing, or dizziness. Mareo can't measure the sound level at your ear.

Mareo is inspired by early research, but it has not been shown to prevent motion sickness, and it isn't a treatment. If motion sickness affects you, talk to a health professional.

In Trips, tap + › Add a reminder, or use “Remind me before a trip” on Home. Mareo asks for notification permission when you save your first reminder. If notifications are off, turn them on in Settings › Apps › Mareo › Notifications.

Go to About › Language and choose English or Español, then close and reopen Mareo.

Say “Take a minute with Mareo” to Siri, search “Take a minute” in Spotlight, or add Mareo's control to Control Center (iOS 18 or later). Each one opens the setup screen. The sound only starts when you tap Start.

In Trips, tap ··· to share your notes as text or export them as a CSV file. To delete everything, choose Delete all history.
